What’s included in a standard home inspection from Verified Home Inspection? Here is a quick overview of the services included in your home inspection, and the major systems that we analyze and assess throughout the process.

The roof is one of the most costly and important structures. We will examine the roof, its structure, shingles/tiles, flashing, gutters, downspouts and more.

This includes the exterior walkways and doors, siding, eaves and soffits, fascia, and other such elements of the home’s exterior.

We will visually inspect the HVAC systems including filters, furnaces and air conditioning units.

We will visually inspect plumbing fixtures for proper function, including tubs, sinks, showers, toilets, checking for leaks, and poor water pressure.

Electrical Systems

We will visually inspect both interior and exterior electrical systems including service drops, service masts, grounding, outlets, switches and circuit breakers.

Doors, Windows and Interior

We will check doors and windows for proper sealing, alignment and function. We will also check the condition of all interior spaces.

Attic, Ventilation and Insulation

We will examine the attic to ensure it is properly ventilated, assess the depth of insulation, and more. Additionally, we check the roof structural components for deficiencies and evidence of leakage/microbial growth.

We will test and examine all major appliances that are permanent, like water heaters and other permanently installed appliances.

Foundations and Crawl Spaces

We will examine the foundation for cracking and shifting. The crawlspaces will be checked for deficiencies in foundation components, proper ventilation and drainage.
